The Open Letter Co is a physical correspondence business. We build letter campaigns — printed, posted, delivered to a real mailbox — that wrap a reader in a story so close to their own life they feel it without being told to.
Every campaign is written by one person. Every letter is printed, packaged, and posted by hand. Every reader gets something that was made for their world, not repurposed from someone else's.
The analogue feels like a throwback, and that is precisely what makes it work. Everyone went digital at the same time, which means everyone is competing in the same place for the same shrinking slice of attention. The letterbox holds almost nothing now — which means anything that arrives there gets both more space and more attention.
The Open Letter Co grew out of something I noticed while teaching English. My students weren't just learning from the letters I sent them — they were waiting for them. Checking the letterbox. Looking forward to the next one in a way they never looked forward to an email or an app notification.
That told me something worth building on.
